I was thinking: I have an old lathe with a magnetic head, that should go up to maximum 10KHZ.

I use a preset inverse RIAA filter prior to cutting.
It goes all the way up to 20KHZ.

Would it make sense simply to cut off all frequencies above 10 khz?
Im thinking that frequencycontent above this might only add distortion to the treble?
