My friend Maegan just sent me a link to a guy who build a tiny Mellotron-like keyboard using Walkmans to make the sounds.

That's pretty cool. The tapes must be endless loop cassettes? I recognize one of the Mystery Circuits from

Mike Walters is great!

ive slept on his floor before on tour...
ive actually never seen a photo of this!

amazing... i am floored- his skills are tops
and appearently keep getting better !!

yea i know mike from a long time ago before his modification adventures.
I dont think the cassettes are endless if im not mistaken he comments that after a while you have to flip them or rewind them, none the less a great machine.

nothing a couple pieces of tape and a xacto couldn't fix (finally something I can use all the analog tape editing knowledge i have). This is a great machine. Does he have plans available? I'd like to build one of these for my studio..
