That a bit of a bummer - I want to buy some as well for testing - anyone on here can order some for me as well.

Pete Docherty flexi on a recent issue of Amelia's Magazine - http://www.ameliasmagazine.com - and a lovely email from Amelia herself, has revealed that they were manufactured by a certain Henry Lavelle at Modo Productions, 11 Codrington Mews, London W11 2EH

Modo number - it's 020 7535 6730 and
Liam is the guy to talk to there. Who knows, they may be able to find someone else still doing them ...

fuck

''...Modo Production numbers, and although I haven't actually spoken to them myself, it seems from others who have, that the guy they were using to manufacture flexis is no longer doing them. Something about some machinery getting smashed up in a fit of rage! Who said vinyl obsessives walked a fine line..." from http://www.verygoodplus.co.uk/showthread.php?t=86

that was back in 02. so that lead's gone cold.
i've seen a LOT of bootleg flexis pop up on ebay from a seller claiming to be Polish/Russian selling stuff from Madonna to the White Stripes.

I cant see anywhere on that eldorado site where they press 5" singles neither-

The company that did most of the flexi's in the old days was Evatone:

Might as well call their number as see if they still do anything! Let me know what you find out. Looks like they do CD stuff now, mostly.

"Might as well call their number as see if they still do anything! "

a sociological comment:

Perhaps if companies like this realize that there is a trend especially among younger culture (who are no longer fascinated by the "Gee Whiz" factor of computers and all they do for us, but treat them as just another appliance)
back toward older methodologies and media "in the hand" as opposed to virtual, they might just consider re-entering a market like flexis. They could be put in small printed promo 'zines for concerts and events etc. It would be cool. And something relatively permanent in today's "here today - gone tomorrow" website world. Other than the fact that things like 'zines and flexis consume resources they, I think represent a good link back to a less "virtual" world.

You might point Evatone to this group for example.
