Hi there i would love to find out about that machine what it's history was and how you acquired it etc. My Dad owned a Meissner machine in the 30's and used it in a recording studio him and his freinds started in Vancouver!
it was on 3095 Kingsway and i have an old photo he gave me of the building with "ELM Recording Studio" on the front.....
which stood for Ellison, Lovell. Murray! that was each of the guys who put up about $400 to start up the business and buy this Meissner cutting lathe....
I thought it was weird to see you were from Vancouver so i thought I had to send you an email to see if i could find any other information..
i record music and play myself so finding out my Dad (he's 83 now) made recordings with that brand of machine....considering how new that was to do at that time....if you acquired it in Vancouver and it fits the dates after WWII it may be the very machine they purchased...
thanks
