Vertical western electric 2A, interesting -

As Motorino pointed out, this is vertical mono, so not compatible with standard lateral mono - too bad -

Per Morrison's disc recording book, the WE 1A feedback cutter is vertical, the 2A and 2B are lateral.

i am not 100% sure about 2A vertical = 2B lateral .
that is what a westrex expert told me.

i know that the 2B is vertical because i have a 2B head.
but the 2A on the picture looks similar...

so it could really be that 2A is not a vertical head

if someone has the datasheet of the 2A that would be the best answer...
