| Hi to all, I'm new on this site - love the name! I have a Wilcox Gay Recordio that I'd love to sell. My husband grew up with it and iremembers a recording being made of his brother playing the accordion. The model number is blank on the back, but here is a description. It is in a heavy fancily decorated consol, mahogony, very heavy. The wood does have scratches in it, but looks like it could easily be refinished. It is about 3 1/2 feet tall. The top opens and there is a turn table. On the front there are two doors. One is a cabinet with shelves. The other pulls down and is a radio. That is where it says Wilcox Gay Recordio. There is a lot of fancy wood inlay on the panel. When the doors are closed the front had latice work with material under it. The back is open and yo can see a big magnavox speaker, a wooden antennae and what looks like the original tubes. I have no idea if it works. I also have some Wilcox Gay and Packard Bell phonocords that look like they are in great shape (some in original packaging). I certainly want a fair price, but I'd love to have it go it someone who would use and enjoy it. From looking at this site I know there is a good home out there somewhere for it. I live in the San Francisco East Bay and would love to have someone willing to pick it up. Let me know if you are interested and we can work something out. Betty |
