Hey, fellow disc-cutters,
At the request of another member I have scanned an original manual for the Presto 1-D cutterhead and created a PDF. Also included is an article from Communication and Broadcast Engineering magazine from March, 1937, written by George Saliba, Chief Engineer of Presto. This article describes the design criteria for what was the forerunner of the Presto 1-series cutterheads. Good reading!
Anyone interested can send me their e-mail address in a 'private message' and I will e-mail them the PDF. It's a really huge file for some reason (12M for 9 pages!), probably because I did the scan at 300dpi, but at least it's as legible as the original sheets.
