| the screw of attachment in grampian does not arrive until the bottom, and it reduces of takes hold in the needle vestax is but deep that the one of the needle of grampian, with small a fattening one of the zone of it takes hold of the needle vestax is sufficient, the lenght its little short....but sound pretty good |

hey Amp Doc, would you mind to send me too this larger pics of your cutting apparatus? Small picture seems to be very interesting, but too hard to identify in detail.
... and motorino, what do you mean with "pvc for water conductions/ plumbing"? Can you buy it in DIY-stores?

wow, ... seems to be a very big assortment of PVC ... which sorts did you try? Should it content lots of softener?
... guess you don't cut it round by yourself?

motorino, didn't want to cause any confusion ... just had a look at the link you posted (thanks) and realised, (as you told by now), that you can get thousand types of PVC there - so I thought you could maybe give a hint which works fine - and if it's better to take plasticised or unplasticised PVC ...
I am looking for transparent/ coloured material to cut with heated sapphire

ask to manufacturer of advertising labels, lighting labels for shops....coment what you want
he works with diferent materials, and he can cut if you cannot cut it
cut pvc with saphires its to waste the time, the problem its the noise, diamond stylus dont have facetes in cut side, ( in spanish "drained cut side" ) and destroy the saphire fast, the diamond stylus have rectum cut

I have one for my presto head, but I think it's short shank, where as grampain is long shank... maybe the other way around....
Never got around to using it yet, what can I cut with it?.. |

Grampian is short shank but can use long shank for high level recording but reduces frequency responce. presto uses long shank type. I think I will try the vestax diamond in my grampian for cutting vinyl likes. Does the vestax styli have a heater coil motorino??? could you send me a pic of how you mounted it would help me out?? I have the design guy at my workplace designing me a 500w 2 channel cutting amp with invert RIAA, feedback, current meters and overload protection will sent you schematic when its tested should sound brill he designes amps ect for a living..Very cleaver guy..

Check out his psu I have see it working 2Kw amp its size of a mobile phone and same weight and 2Kw amp module same size and weight running full power no fan small heatsink you can pot your hand on it after 2 hours its 40C very inpresive!
