Hi,
I live in germany, and I really havent found anything that cuts well execpt cdrs. Ive tried plates and plastic covers but nothing seems to work without TONS of surface noise. Ive tried the following plastic comounds.
PP
PS
PE
and I even tried a PVC plate ,it was awfull Crying or Very sad
I tested one side of a vinyl recorder blank that is made out of PVC and it sounded pertty good. ! ?

Oh yea and Im just using a wilcox gay recordett sr. with crystal head.
any tips?

try to heat the blank with a powerfull lamp
