Colored like what?
If you look on the links in my "Welcome" post, a guy named Kim Gudske is selling see-through plastic for making very hard records (they can be played on Victrolas). Trouble is, in my experience, it grinds the cutting stylus right down, at least on my recordio. I lost a brand new $70 stylus, first cut, using one of his blanks. I think you'd need a heated stylus instead, and one you don't care about or can resharpen.
Kim's a very cool guy with good and inventive ideas, and I think he posts here sometimes! He has helped me quite a bit. Just make him spell out what he's giving you, and make sure you get good directions. He also cuts records for a living, so he knows what he is talking about.
Some of the other things you've seen here are records that are cut into strange materials like picnic plates. If someone is selling colored vinyl blanks for cutting, I don't happen to know about it. |
