I just bought this cutter off my roommate. I have a bunch of documentation and several manuals for but i think it's a 64-a with a ta-1 adapter to cut at 45 rpm. I know it was used to cut small batches of dubs not masters. I hope the image worked ( never done this ) I was wondering where to get the belts, as one side they are missing . It has no vacuum unit either. It has a 1-d head and a 1c . I think the amp is an 87a but i'm not sure . Maybe I'm just looking for a starting point. They both power up but havent tried to engage the platter. Any info would be great. [/img]

Hello I can tell you a bit about your cutter. I have the original of that from the guy who publiched the mod your has It was designed and engineered by a Mr C W French. Its a presto 8N I think with a another presto carrage chopped up and mounted on its rear probly a 6 series. The stepped pullys belts are just large O rings which are easy avalible.
The mod was printed in a mag about 1963 and I have the paperwork for it it even tells you the size of the orings and pullys. I can mail it to you if you want. I cannot belive you have one also. The paperwork even tells you the time each step on pully will achieve. It was published by a guy called John D Harmer who worked a capital city sounds recording Inc in Ohio and he was the President and chief engineer.
The belt you are missing lists as a 1/8inch cross section 4 3/4inch Outer diameter and the double belts are 1/8inch cross section and 5 3/4 Outer diameter But yours seems to have more steps on the pullys. To find the size you want just wrap string around the pully and measure when the string when it is round for the Outer Diameter . Happy cutting. Very Happy
