hello,

all this reading about cutting records has been facsinating to me.
i have a lead on a soundscriber, and wanted to know a few things
that i thought one of you guys could possibly answer:

how does the soundscriber work, are the sounds it cuts
made by alterting the depth of the groove, or by moving the groove back and forth, like the waves found on lps?

does anyone have one of these machines?
