Hello all. Just curious if it is possible to plate lexan cuts?
If you were to get a good cut from a diamond vinylium or vinylrecorder system could you have it plated and pressed?
Can you only plate an acetate?
As I understand it, vinylrecorder can't cut acetates. Or at least that is the recommendation.
I would like to be able to cut plastic at home for DJ'ing with my productions. I am considering purchasing a vinylrecorder system. But, I also want to be able to cut masters for plating. So, do I need two lathes? One tweaked to cut lexan and one tweaked to cut actetates?
I know it's a lot of questions. If anyone has any input on any one of these questions or all of them please help me out with some wisdom. I really apprecaite it. Thanks in advance. |
