I have this beast that gave me one year of faithful service making jukebox acetates, then it has sat in my garage for 10 years. Please put it to work!

While you're waiting for the pictures to load, it has a Presto 1D head.

It comes with two leadscrews - 112 and 240 TPI. A 45 adapter that works well is installed on the motor spindle. The rubber on the idlers is hard (damn Tucson weather) but I took off the surface glazing to make them work well.

No vacuum, heating or microscope equipment is provided as I didn't get any with it.

There is no case for the 6N as it was installed in a local radio station.

The amp was rebuilt just enough to make it work - new electrolytics and coupling caps, but it has the old oil HV filter capacitor. It was missing tubes, so I put in a matched set of 807s from Antique Electronics. I t worked reasonably well 10 years ago. I have the old Daven step attenuator if you like those things. Its terminal block is cracked.

The equipment is mounted in a nice 1982 Optima desk with rackmount section. I will sell just the Presto gear if you don't want the desk, although the desk makes it a lot easier (but heavier) to transport.

I will accept any reasonable offer. This is a hobby, right?

I am in Tucson Arizona, many miles from any part of the recording industry. I am experienced at shipping, but packing this stuff will be interesting to say the least. I can get crates made locally if needed.

Thanks.

Welcome to the group.
Perhaps if you stay around you will get the bug and revive the old beast once again instead of selling it...

Indeed. Or, you'll sell it, then hang out here long enough to start regretting it (voice of experience)
