hello. i just bought this cutter(and it should be coming in the mail in the next few day) and im curious if anyone has any experiences with this cutter before?

the seller says that it cuts but "cuts with noise". any things to consider before it comes on how to fix this problem?

it came with:

-3 blank disks
-9 cutting needles (steel)
-2 reproducing needles (1 sapphire, 1 osmium)

If there is still a lot of mechanical surface noise in a quiet unmodulated groove, I think I would try a variety of new lacquers, and fiddle as much as I could with a combination of adjusting the depth the cutting stylus is inserted into the head, which will change the cutting angle slightly, and also the depth adjustment, which will interact. But a good sharp stylus with well polished burnishing facets cutting into nice fresh lacquer is probably the only way to obtain a quiet cut, without stylus heat.
