| I'm trying to make some picturediscs for an upcoming gig at a record store, but I'm having no luck finding a clear medium that will cut half decent. Anyone have any suggestions? I've tried laminated card stock, window sticker material, report covers, mylar...all too screechy. there's got to be something out there. |

I don't have my cutter working, but I've been keeping an eye out for things that might work for exactly that. Though it is kind of hard to come by, the thing I think might make the coolest clear discs that I have found is the clear plastic dividers that come at the top and bottom of a spindle of CD or DVDs.
I've been collecting these at my work where we use a lot of CDs and DVDs. I wonder if we could find a bulk source for these.
Hope this helps..

| I had a burst of inspiration last night while looking at one of my commercially pressed picture discs. The plastic jacket it came in!! poked a hole in it and did a quick test cut. still a little hissy but nowhere near the screechiness of the others I've tried. I've still got to do a proper test ,but it looks promising. I'll keep you posted. |
